From the World Trade Center NYC –  May 4 2011
By Guido George Lombardi
Almost ten years after the collapse of the Twin Tiwers, as the rain falls on the corner of Liberty Street and Trinity Street on the south east corner of the World Trade Center site, we find ourselves surrounded by the crowds of commuters going to work in downtown NYC.
We came to present a letter to Mayor Bloomberg and to show solidarity with the victims if 9/11 and express the complete support of the people of Italy for American troops and their great work in defending freedom all over the world. As President on the North Atlantic League, a trilateral association of people from Italy the USA and Israel, I came to Ground Zero to celebrate the courage of the people if New York City, and to pay respect to those who died from many nations (including 7 Italian citizens) due to that criminal act of terror on Sptember 11 2001.   In addition, it is important for us to to honor the brave men and women who are fighting and bringing to justice the enemies of freedom.
NAL wants to renew the lasting friendship between the Italian and American people in this difficult time of our history. Together with our brothers and sisters in Israel we will defeat the cancers that infest our nations: violent Islamist funtamentalism and radical socialism.
